Les Bois Dressage News

May 22, 2017

Home after a great show at the Idaho Dressage Festival. The new covered warm up arena and rubbermats in all stalls were a wonderful surprise and made an already fantastic show even better!
Here are the results for our Les Bois Dressage Team:

Barb Sparks earned her Silver medal on her handsome boy R. Cessna, winning both PSG classes. So very happy for you!!!

Nancy Weaver and her 5 year-old Harvard R won a big 1-3 class with a 67.941 at their first show together. I got to ride Mister Harvey in the FEI 5 year-old test and we got a 7.86 which puts us currently in 6th place on the National Ranking List for the Championships in Chicago. I couldn't be prouder of this young horse. He had so much fun with the difficult 5 year-old test and loved showing off his new moves

Cindy Phelan and her Seijon earned both 4th Level scores for their Silver medal. Congratulations!!

Joli Griffith debuted her brand new Beachboys themed Freestyle with Sonrisa and took 3rd place in the Saturday night Freestyle Challenge with a whooping 70.7%! They also earned their first qualifying score at 4-3 for Regionals.

My head groom Dylan Madolesi had a beautiful ride on Warado in 2-3, qualifying for Regionals and also getting her first 2nd Level score towards her Bronze medal. Stephanie Bonney was also able to gain some valuable experience at her first time out at Second Level. Absolutely adore this wonderful school master. Thank you, Lise Madson. We love him very much!

Cynthia McKim and her beautiful Varden made their PSG debut together. Very proud of you guys!

Liz Smith's young mare Arista surprised us all with the highest score of the day on both show days and also winning Training Level Champion both days. Scoring 75, 75, 72.885 and 70.227 at her first horse show ever and first time off property.

Liz's mare Santina also had an amazing show winning the Idaho Freestyle Challenge on Saturday night with our super cool Lady Gaga Freestyle (contact Tom and Nancy of Admagination Studios if you need a freestyle! They do a fantastic job!), earning us a 72.833%. Santina also was Second Level Champion with scores of 71.795 and 70.366 at her first time at this level.

Leslie Hornocker's Caspari Royale rocked his 3rd Level debut with a 68.718 and was Third Level Champion. Pony power!!!!

Nancy Roche's fancy young mare Saphyra also had a successful first time showing at Second Level, winning her 2-1 class with a 71.667.

FiveStar was a blast to ride and show, he is getting stronger and more expressive every day now. Even with a few bobbles we earned a 68.163 for our Intermediaire 1 Freestyle and a 66.765 in the Developing PSG. Exciting future ahead for this young FEI horse!

My little Miss Fancy Pants Serafina Pekkola WGF came home from her first show ever winning a huge Training 3 class with 74.773%. She absolutely loved showing and being around all the excitement. Such a cool young horse!

My Dumbledore stopped to smell the flowers. Five Times. In the test.
